Concert

The Setnor School of Music organ studio invites you to a special concert on Saturday, November 9 at 4pm in Setnor Auditorium that will feature newly composed works for the pipe organ. We (along with trombonist Heather Buchman of Hamilton College) will perform a varied program of music composed within the last two years. The program features music by Brittney Elizabeth Boykin, Connor Chee, and Paul Fey, works by Setnor composition students Jessica Hallock and Elizabeth Bishop, and the world premiere of “Perpetual Motion” for solo organ by Natalie Draper, Assistant Professor of Theory and Composition.

This concert is the culminating event of Setnor’s Discover the Organ program, an initiative to encourage young composers and musicians to learn more about the pipe organ. High school students who submitted compositions for the Discover the Organ program will have their scores performed by Setnor students from 2 to 3:30pm. This score reading is also open to the public.
