Setnor Auditorium, Crouse College, Syracuse University
Please join us for an album release concert celebrating Interlaced: Music for Organ, et al., the debut portrait album from composer Natalie Draper and SU University Organist Anne Laver, now available via Acis Productions. Six years in the making, the album is the culmination of a collaboration that is very near and dear to Natalie and Anne’s hearts — and a celebration of our community here in Syracuse.
The concert features guest performances by Will Knuth, Heather Buchman, Katie Weber, Kat Skafidas, Ashley Vance, Peppie Calvar, and the Hendricks Chapel Choir, with music for solo organ, organ and violin, organ and trombone, organ and treble voices, and organ and choir. A compilation video will also be shared, highlighting several performances of the solo organ piece “Pattern Dances,” each with its own unique choreography.
Read Jonathan Hall’s review on page 90 of the October issue of The American Organist magazine.
Parking: Complimentary parking for concertgoers will be available in Irving Garage that morning. If you need accessible parking in the quad lot near Crouse, please fill out this form by October 20 so Annie can get you reserved parking.
Note: October 24 is also Monster Jam in the Carrier Dome, happening later that day — plan accordingly for campus traffic.
